Internal Optimization of Website
This phase opens the hands-on work on improvements of your website. It is called internal because it concerns the aspects, which belong only to the website properties: the internal linking structure, quality of a code, tags usage and content/semantics fulfillment. In the paragraphs below we outline the aspects in more detail.
1. Search-engine friendliness of your website
Not all websites are indexed fast and ranked well in the search engines. Google, for instance, has a number of hidden criteria for “good” sites, which it indexes and ranks well. Carrying out the following measures, we make your website satisfying these criteria.
- - Make the correct robots.txt file for search engine robots.
- - Remove the session identifications and redirects in the url-names of your pages.
- - Configure the correct http-headers for all your pages.
- - Remove the internal links made via java-script or flash (they are not indexed by the search engines). Convert them to the direct links.
- - Convert the dynamic url-addressing into the static url-addressing.
- - Other proprietary techniques
2. Internal linking structure
The main search-engine principle of website ranking is: “the page receiving more links (references/citations) from other pages is ranked higher than the page receiving less”. Internal links (from the same website) are also counting. Therefore, we organize your internal linking scheme in most efficient way, where the important pages receive many links from other pages of the website. (The important pages are those, on which you would like the user to land during his search-engine surf). As a result, the important pages are ranked higher and can attract more visitors.
Note: there are a few internal linking schemes that allow you to make all your pages important and well-ranked.
3. Code and tags optimization of website pages
This activity is needed to extract the power of available html tags. The right usage of these tags is of paramount importance. It increases relevance of your website for your keywords and as a result puts you on high positions in the search results. The most influencing tags to work on are: TITLE, H1, H2, H3, H4, STRONG, ALT and DESCRIPTION.
Beside this, we inspect the html code against the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standard. The correct code is appreciated by all search engines.
4. Content/semantics fulfillment
This activity improves relevance of your pages towards specific keywords. Your page should have a specific number of a keyword appearances, to be highly ranked for that keyword. The activity includes:
- - Optimal placement of the target keywords on the pages.
- - Recommendations for the website content adjustment.
- - Creation of a special information pages targeting requirements of specific search-engines.
